Student Support

The course has been designed to be self-instructional, self-contained and not dependent upon a teacher for elaboration or explanation. If you experience difficulties with any aspect of the course the Course Manager is available to help you resolve any problems and will find experts within the industry to advise on scientific and technical issues.

Summer School

Towards the end of the study year, usually in July, the SCS offers a weekend summer school with an optional laboratory day. This is an excellent opportunity to meet other students, the Course Manager and some of the industry experts. Laboratory facilities are available where you are guided through practical formulation exercises and a series of lectures are designed to help with your revision of the course material. There’s also time to socialise at the course dinner at a local restaurant.
