Common questions about the course
The course has been designed to be self-instructional, self-contained and not dependent upon a teacher for elaboration or explanation. If you experience difficulties with any aspect of the course the Education Adminstrator is available to help you resolve any problems and will find experts within the industry to act as mentors and advise on scientific and technical issues.
Visit us at SCS Formulate - Stand 100
14 - 15 November 2017
We shall invite all the students on the course together with the recently successful students to SCS Formulate to experience the exhibition and to visit the SCS stand. This will provide a chance to meet the Education Administrator, the SCS team and other students. Our course lecturers and authors will also be visiting the stand. It is hoped that this event would give the students a deeper understanding of the course, encourage them to remain focused in their studies and perhaps forge study groups between themselves.
Spring Term Laboratory Days - March 2017
In March we run laboratory days for the students to experience a lab environment, make some creams, lotions, shampoos, foam baths together with some colour cosmetics such as lipsticks, eye shadows and so on.
Towards the end of the study year in June/July the SCS offers a weekend summer school in the Midlands area. This is an excellent opportunity to meet other students on the course, the Education Administrator and some of the industry experts. There is also time to socialise and relax together.
